# CHK123 terms and intended use

CHK123 is a free, offline-first documentation and workflow aid. By using it, you agree to use it only within the boundaries below. If these terms conflict with rights or obligations that applicable law does not allow to be waived, applicable law controls.

## Permitted purpose

CHK123 may be used to create, run, and export user-defined inspection, maintenance, and service workflows for any type of equipment. It records user observations and measurements, performs user-configured calculations and comparisons, and creates reports as a personal aid, procedure prototype, or temporary record before information is entered into an organization's approved system.

## Not an approved record system

CHK123 is not a CMMS, validated QMS, electronic-signature system, tamper-evident audit trail, medical diagnostic or treatment system, equipment control system, safety certification service, or substitute for manufacturer instructions, applicable procedures, training, professional judgment, or legally required records.

A pass/fail or other comparison result means only that entered data was compared with a user-defined rule. Do not use CHK123 as the sole basis to declare equipment safe, compliant, calibrated, released for service, or fit or ready for use. Do not use it where failure, delay, corrupted data, an incorrect calculation, or loss of a browser profile could cause injury, unlawful conduct, or material property damage.

## Your content and procedures

You may share your own exported Sections and Checklists directly with others when you have authority to share every included element. You are responsible for the sharing channel and recipients you choose, having authority to use and distribute the content, verifying all procedures and limits against current authoritative sources, using suitable calibrated instruments, and reviewing exports before relying on or sharing them. Imported packs are unreviewed user content, even when they resemble manufacturer or organizational material. CHK123 does not host, review, endorse, certify, or redistribute peer-shared packs.

## Privacy and confidential information

Do not enter patient data, passwords, government identifiers, or information your organization prohibits from local browser storage. Protect the device, browser profile, linked folders, backups, and exported reports. See PRIVACY.md.

## Availability and warranties

The software is provided under the repository's MIT License and may be changed, unavailable, or contain defects. Back up your library. No statement in these terms excludes a warranty, remedy, duty, or liability that applicable law does not permit to be excluded.
